Pebble Painting

Nadi ran our most recent session, and provided inspiration and designs we could use, as well as pebbles, paint and markers. Here's what we came up with!

Quilling

Our most recent meeting was spent quilling. Some group members have some experience while for others, it was the first time they'd tried. These are a few of the results -

Tricia's butterflies were 'outline' quilling, where she used a butterfly die cut (both the negative and positive pieces) to provide the outline.

Paper Flowers

When we planned this term, two members (Dominique and Nadi) suggested making paper flowers that looked similar enough that we thought we'd combine a session and make both. The results were wonderful!

Barbara added hers to a display of flowers made a few  years ago at the group.

Beryl displayed her flowers in a pot she won in a raffle just after our meeting!

Tricia also added her flowers to a display of others she's made in the past.

Nadi's flower design uses circular sheets of paper - one for each petal, while Dominiques's uses square sheets and folds origami-style to create each petal. Thank you to both of you!

Beaded Creations

Shilpa led the project this week - making a mix of keyrings, bag charms and earrings. Special thanks to Adrienne (past member) who provided beads and findings to add to our selection.

Spinner Cards

At our most recent meeting, we had a go at making spinner cards. These are quite simple (especially if you have a die cutter) but look quite impressive.

The cards are A6 sized, made from half a sheet of A4 cut along the long axis. Most shapes were cut using a Big Shot and a range of dies from various manufacturers, although some members supplied their own 'spinners'.
