Carousel Cards

We started back after the summer with some Carousel Cards. The original versions of these were based on circles, but they work well as squares too and that's what we did. Any size square will work, but most of these started as 12 by 12 in card sheets.

Stepper Cards

These look a little different, but can still fold flat, and using this method, aren't difficult to create the basic card base.

Plastic Canvas

We had a play with plastic canvas a few weeks ago, but as the projects take longer than some to complete. I'm only getting around to posting them now.

Jyotsna chose to make bookmarks as gifts

Nadi chose to use a Mary Hickmot pattern and turn the result into a card. And then she went on to make more!

Parvin made a monogram as a gift

Shobha also added her design to a card

Tricia made several things. The boxes and coasters used Etsy patterns, while the needlecase was kept simple and geometric.

Iris Folding

Michelle recently introduced us all to Manx Quilting, and as soon as I saw it, I thought of Iris Folding - a papercrafting technique I've tried a few times in the past. We had a go today, and the results were lovely and so varied.

Gatefold Cards

We spent our last meeting making gatefold cards. These are fairly simple, and make a change from standard 'book fold' cards.

We used pre-cut 6 by 6in cards where we didn't fold the centre score and paper mainly from The Range or The Works with mirror card and various embellishments from individual members' stash.

Unfortunately, Beryl couldn't join us at this meeting, but she found the time to have a play at home and came up with these:
