I made a couple of flower boxes for two friends from the U3A choir.
Because these cards fold flat, I can put them in an envelope, although it's not a standard size, so I make my own.
Those will go in the post today.

Shilpa's Lavender Bag
A while ago, the theme for one of our meetings was making lavender bag, and Shilpa has shared her finished bag.
Tricia's Card for Spring
One of my design teams has a spring theme to this fortnight's challenge, and this is what I made.
It's a mixture of stamping, colouring and die cutting. You probably can't read it but the music at the bottom of the bird collage is Song of Spring.

Nadi's Stone Painting
Nadi says, 'I've done these with Acrylic paints and brush on stones and a shell which I picked up on Brighton beach. I use them as paper weights or just as decoration around the house.'
Tricia's First Attempts for the Kit and Clowder Colouring Course
My first attempt on this course was to follow the instructions for colouring the rose. I will admit that I've watched any number of videos on colouring in the past, so a lot of what they suggest wasn't new, but I've never tried using so many shades of a single colour before - most of the craft companies suggest three.
My first attempt I used coloured pencils.
As you can see, the base image is lovely, and there are lots of hints regarding shading included in the image itself. It's far from perfect, but I was fairly happy with the result.
Then I tried the same image using alcohol markers - in my case, Promarkers.
As suggested in the instructions I added a little white pencil to emphasise the highlight areas, but I must say, I was quite pleased with the result.
I, personally, think flowers are easier images than many to colour - especially when they're as well-drawn as this one.
The logo at the bottom is a sort of watermark I've made. It's very basic and I will probably have another go later. (Since I bought my new laptop late last year, I've had to swap from using Photoshop Elements to do things like that and am now using Gimp (which is free but there's a fairly steep learning curve.) So, I'm still learning!

Some Ideas from Ricky
Ricky called me this morning with a couple of ideas that I outlined on WhatsApp. But I did find a link for something related to one of her ideas, and I've pasted it below.
https://modpodgerocksblog.com/mod-podge-coaster-craft-ideas/
Modge Podge is a water based sealant for paper which I've used occasionally. But as one of the articles suggests, you'd need a heavy duty sealant on top to make the coaster waterproof and to counteract the stickiness that seems to be a feature of Modge Podge.
One of the suggestions from the link above just as a taster.

Adrienne's Sock Doll
Adrienne said, 'The head is too big and the arms are too small, but I'm happy with my first doll. The video tutorial is on You tube - How to Make a Scok Doll, DIY Dolls From Scoks. Only hand sewing is required.
'There are many cute sock dolls and sock animals on Pinterest if you are interested.'

Some Cards for a Green Theme from Tricia
In March every year, my design team challenges always want us to make something 'green'. My poor son always gets a green birthday card, but I'm a member of two teams, so there have to be two creations. This year, this is what I came up with.
This is the one I sent to my son - the one who loves to travel!
And this is the other one. It's still in my box of cards, but will no doubt get used soon.

80th Birthday Card by Pat
Birthday card for 80th birthday of a friend who has now had to cancel all celebrations! Keep well everyone, Pat.
Fridge Magnets
Adrienne led a recent session where me made fridge magnets using glass cabochons, paper image, glue and magnets.
I used images printed from CDRoms : the two on the left from an Ivory Cats CD and the two on the right from a Debbi Moore CD.

Felt Pouches
Adrienne recently led a session where we made felt pouches in various designs.
Tricia said, 'I used a lovely apple green felt as the base, added some die-cut felt flowers, a lace butterfly, some sticky gems and stitched with Perle cotton.'
Barbara said, 'I wouldn’t use that silky thread if I did it again. It was awful to secure! 🌻🌻'
Shilpa made a pouch as a gift for a family member.
And inside there is a lovely,hand-stitched, paper emboidery card!
