Tricia's Most Recent Batch of Masks

Tricia said, 'When we chatted to our son in Berlin recently, he mentioned that he'd been wearing the masks I sent for several outings before washing them. I was rather shocked at that, and promised I'd send another batch so that, hopefully, they can wash them after each wearing. I had just received some ivory cotton, but it looked so boring that I decided to stamp the cloth before I stitched the masks. The result was what you see above. I did leave a couple un-stamped in case he's got a problem with what I've done. I think if I make any more masks I'll be stamping them because it was fun!'

Adrienne's Floating Teacup

Adrienne said, 'Floating teacup - it was more difficult to glue the flowers than it looked in the videos. Gluing the fork to the teacup and saucer works well with hot glue.'

Tricia's Framed Flowers

Tricia said, 'I made this framed flower arrangement for my sister a while ago. The frame used a die, and I embossed the pieces and picked out the embossing with gilding wax before coating it with Modge Podge. The flowers, greenery and butterfly were made using dies from a variety of sources.'

A Card and a Box

A birthday card I made for a challenge to make something for a 'celebration'. I used something I got as a free gift over a year ago but had never used. It's a 'cut and emboss folder, and I used it for the cream background piece. The only additions are a dark brown mat, a die cut butterfly and a pre-printed sentiment.

And now a first attempt at a cantilever box.

Closed and ...

Open. Unfortunately, mine doesn't stand up by itself when open, so I suspect I did something wrong and need to go back to look at a tutorial. Still, I'm not too unhappy.
