Experimenting with Mosaic Tiles

In our most recent session, we were experimenting with decorating things with mosaic tiles and sticky gems. It's not feasible to use mosaic tiles as intended in our meetings as they are only two hours long and sticking and grouting would take longer that we have, so we kept it simple. The results were quite impressive!

As you can see, we decorated a range of things including inexpensive photo frames, a glasses case, the box for a letter opener, a china jar, and even an empty Body Shop container. I think there are a lot of tiles left over, so I suspect other things will be decorated in the coming weeks!

Shrink Plastic Magic

Our most recent meeting saw us playing with shrink plastic. We had some basic die cut shapes and were able to trace further images to colour and cut out before using a heat tool to perform the magic. We used them to make keyrings and bag charms.

Cardmaking Session

Our most recent meeting was planned to be a free-style cardmaking session, but we had to finish the notebook holders we had started previously, and Adrienne wanted to show us how to use paper napkins to make cards, while Tricia demonstrated easel-style cards.

Notebook Holders

Recently, Adrienne led a session making holders for notebooks using corrugated card and pretty paper. The results were lovely!

More Tote Bags

Because some members couldn't come to our last meeting, we had a repeat today, decorating tote bags using inks, stamps and stencils. All of these used Versafine or Versafine Clair ink.

Tote Bag Decorating

At our most recent meeting, we've been decorating fabric (mainly tote bags) using inks, stamps and stencils. Obviously, the tote bags have two sides, so we had the chance to create twice!

There will be more of the same next time, as a couple of members were unable to attend this week.
