Tricia said, 'My sister has a 'big' birthday coming up later this year, and I decided to make her a memory book. I used Tonic dies, lots of card, paper and glue. I've added some photos, but in such a way that they can be discarded and replaced with those my sister chooses. Each page has a fold out section with pouches for smaller photos or mementos as well as full size pages where things can be attached.'
'This is the box I made to put the album in. The tiles show my sister's name, but I've covered the letters just in case (very unlikely) she stumbles on this page.'
The box lid and the album.
A close up of the decorative die cut. The details on the flowers are stitched.
One of the inner folders - this one is a double.
Another of the inner folders - this one is a treble. There are six double pages in the album, and each one has a folder. Faces have been obscured.
The whole project has taken several weeks from start to finish, and it's not quite done yet. In fact, I realised that the 'front' cover was actually the back, so I'm going to have to redo that, but can't quite face it yet!
