Many years ago, I found a pattern in a magazine for a pullover which used an entrelac stitch. I enjoyed making it (and still wear it occasionally) and have since used a similar technique to make a few baby blankets and throws. Other group members were intrigued, so I trawled through various sites online for instructions to share and found them to be much more complicated than what I'd been doing. So, I spent some time coming up with a simplified pattern and shared it with the group.
I made a throw while writing out the pattern as I don't consciously think about it any more.
I used scraps of leftover yarn and made it in two sections which I stitched together then I added a crocheted border to complete it.Group members tried the pattern, and after some false starts, there was success!
